Click on this link to access the formative assessment on dividing fractions that I created for my students on Classkick. This is the link that will be shared with students. Enter any name to access the CFA that my students will see.
I was unfamiliar with Classkick which is why I chose to investigate it. Classkick is a free app and web-based instructional tool that allows teachers to see their students working in real-time. Teachers can upload an assignment and share it with all students. The assignment can be shared with a link like I did above, or it can be sent directly to Google Classroom. As students are working, the teacher can see every response for each page of the assignment at the same time. See the image below for the teacher's view of a sample assignment. The teacher can give immediate feedback to students as they work. It is also possible to allow students to give feedback to their peers if needed. I think this is a wonderful tool for formative assessments because it allows for real-time monitoring, feedback, and assessment of student work. Another benefit of Classkick is that students do not need to make accounts or share any information. The only barrier I noticed is that the existing library of assignments is very small. It was very quick and easy for me to turn my own assignment into a PDF and upload it to Classkick though. I would recommend using Magic School to create your assessment and then add it to Classkick. I plan to utilize this often with my students.
